Also within the village in the Fort Conan Hotel, and a lovely café called The Wild Rose, which serves breakfast and lunch. At the entrance of the beach, there is a Coffee shop, Gralinn, serving delicious coffees and home-bakes. There is also a pizzeria and chipper ‘Off The Hook’ and for a special night out we highly recommend Aldridge Lodge. However, it is extremely popular and booking is essential. Duncannon village also hosts a newsagents, a small supermarket and a scratch bakery ‘Lumi’ and there is a large Centra shop in Ramsgrange (3 kms) which has ATM and post office.
In nearby Arthurstown, The Kings Bay Inn situated just down the road from Ballyhack Castle and the Passage East Ferry is a popular stop for many arriving into Wexford from Waterford. This cosy traditional pub has been serving drinks here for generations and today is no different! With an extensive bar menu to choose from and lots of delicious baked goods prepared daily, you’ll be spoilt for choice! For a wonderful dining occasion we also recommend Dunbrody Country House Hotel by celebrity chef Kevin Dundon and his wife Catherine. Indulgence is the order of the day at Dunbrody Country House with a gourmet restaurant, a chic champagne seafood bar and leisurely breakfasts. Again, booking ahead is essential.
